San Jose Mercury News: "Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.
Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.
Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four."
There are three constituent groups who are empowering and abetting the destruction of the nation and inadvertently themselves.
There are the ignorant and lazy, who are content to live marginal lives on the back of the rest of society, the truly deranged socialist/communist/progressives, and the useful idiots.
This story is really about many millions of middle class, upper middle class, and wealthy people who think of themselves as tolerant centrists and call themselves 'independents', but are actually intellectually lazy pawns of rabid liberal elitists such as Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer.
They are mostly fiscally conservative with their personal resources and feel a responsibly to help the less fortunate, but not with their own resources. They are willing to give a little and think everyone else should too, and the best way to do that is to support, and elect people who will do that. That's the government's job, not theirs'. Churches and charities can't be trusted to take care of these issues.
They've been conditioned to think this way in public schools and universities and this attitude is reinforced by the liberal media. They have the perception this sort of behavior is what is expected of them and it makes them part of a responsible society.
But they are too busy making a living and living the 'American Dream' to actually spend time thinking liberal issues through or trying to observe and analyze the destructive results, or try to reason why the nation is collapsing around them.
These are the useful idiots, and it is the useful idiots who empower and enable the destroyers.
Useful idiots is right. Now, the next step is......they will start pissing and moaning like a true kalifornipuke and want higher wages to offset the price of their precious obamacare, and to hell with the country's debt problem. They belong to the gimme gimme class of idiots.
ReplyDeleteTypical products of the 40 yrs of the 24/7/365 cultural drum-beat from academia K-grad school, the entertainment industry and mass media, let alone leftist politicians. All that is tough to overcome. And we're not even NEAR stopping the tanker, let alone turning it around..
