Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

This sounded hinky to me from the get-go.  There is no way all of the communication devices on this Boeing 777 could fail that quickly unless there was an instantaneous catastrophe, and if there was such an event, the debris would have been seen somewhere along it's flight path.

I immediately decided it had to be a high jacking by terrorists, criminals, or the flight crew.

But here's another alternative theory I find entirely plausible:
