I once ranted and raved on a blog called Seaspook's Rants. Since coming ashore I've observed how things work and I've come to the conclusion that we all eventually become Democrats. The honorable, only after death.

WWII
Every time I see such footage I think of my Dad. He was there aboard USS Enterprise (CV6). These guys just did what had to be done and survivors came home just went on with their lives. PTSD? They just toughed it out.
